inspired!

So marks the closure of Snow White, and my first time at front-of-house! Cheers to the most successful panto ever :D

Thanks to Isaac, Charlotte, Debbie, Ellen and fellow volunteers for making FOH life so much fun (: I've learnt so much in these 5 days. How to warm up to strangers, communicate effectively (sort of?), persuade (look people in the eye) and most importantly, smile like you would for the camera (supposing you're appearing on the cover page of the newspapers... for positive reasons).

Sebastian Tan to Paul (child actor for the show), signing a soundtrack for him after closing show:
"Hi Paul! Do you wanna be an actor next time? I think be doctor better lah, hor. Be actor very... ngyeh."

Also caught Another Crazy Christmas today. First thoughts? Shouldn't have splurged on seats, the theate was so small that everyone would have a good view. Music was okay, pianists were great, live band was wonderful. Moderately heavy on humour. Sebastian Tan's video appearance was hilarious, albeit obviously pre-recorded (since everything was happening at the Drama Centre backstage).

(By the way, I'm not obsessed. I have many more favourite actors/actresses okay. I'm harping on things because I care about the value of my buck.)

Exciting productions coming up next year:
- The Importance of Being Earnest (W!LD RICE, March 2009, Drama Centre, music by T'ang Quartet!)
- Dim Sum Dollies (Dream Academy, July 2009)
- Broadway Beng 4 (Dream Academy, December 2009, Esplanade)
