Why you should catch We Will Rock You
1) Because there is great music by Queen (with a top-notch band) and excellent story & script by Ben Elton with a superb cast and background singers/dancers who would easily beat Hady or Taufik, no sweat.
2) Because the lousy introductions by cheap magazines does the musical zero justice.
3) Because leading the cast is MiG Ayesa, one of the top 3 finalists in INXS' search for their new frontman. Two words: Awesome dude. (Who by the way is my new semi-idol.) (I sound like a Native American who worships totem poles.)
4) Because it proves that entertainment can have very clever wit. So clever even stuck-up big-nosed ang mohs laughed. "It's not your fault you're a big crybaby... INXS didn't let you join them, boo hoo." "Although I have yet to uncover the exact date on which the music died, it is clear to me that an ancient entertainment phenomenon known as American Idol played a central role.")
5) Because it is definitely not as corny as the title may suggest, and even Singaporean elements have been included to please the audience ("That's all there is, the rest of the tape is just an episode of a show called Phua Chu Kang.")
"Me? I'm the biggest, baddest, meanest, nastiest, ugliest, most raging, rapping, rock'n'roll, sick, punk, heavy metal psycho bastard that ever got get-down funky. They call me - Victoria Beckham."

call me satrical, it's my happy word
As usual, I have things to complain about. I think I should get a job about complaining. I'd have my own company.
As usual,
1) my ideas are being stolen;
2) I am not given credit for my work;
3) I'm doing double the rubbish for half the recognition;
4) the way NY works can only remind me of a saggy old woman (strangely forgetful yet unforgiving); and
5) I am constantly reminded that if it wasn't for my CCA, I'd be happily prancing about in VJC now.
It's a mixture of pride and regret, that I chose not to transfer. If I could still be in NYCO even if I was in a different school I'd be ever so happy.
400th post, wow.

FREAKY! QQ and Lara Fabian look astonishingly alike.
Oh and Chew Fei told me that *cough*'s family runs a MAID AGENCY! Ahaha! o:
No wonder so rich. Wah piang, I also want to run maid agency next time.
I love my dad.
"What do you think of people who run maid agencies?"
"Okay what. 正经what."
"Can I set up a maid agency next time?"
"No, 有事没事bring in Philipino for what."
---
Sorry I'll reply next time! It's freaky late. And my homework isn't even complete. I haven't even finished revising for block tests! D:
Thank you for the insight. I owe you, really.

plasters
Recently I've been frustrated because I couldn't decide between using the words oriented and orientated.
I thought one was right and the other a mix-up.
Turns out both are the same, just that orientated is preferred by the British and oriented is used for technical terms and in the US (thanks to http://www.askoxford.com/).
Anyway our western percussion item has been approved! YQP makes history by having 2 percussion ensemble pieces and 1 concerto (sort of) for our NYCO concert! The programme order is kind of scary but most are happy I guess. Prepare for the awesome power of percussion come 18 July 2008!
Oh no there're only 3 days of holidays left and no homework is complete. Zilch. Zero. Na-ah.
HOMEWORK (holy cow)
1) Advanced Lit paper
2) LA essay
3) 3 short Chinese book reviews
4) Physics Assignments 2.2, 2.3, 3.2 and 3.3
5) Chinese essay
6) CO Jacket designs
7) RETURN MUSIC SCORES FROM LIBRARY (this is very important homework involving FINES)
I ran out of my lovely stretchy water-proof (and very expensive) plasters! That's a bad sign, because I'm losing lots of blood. Wendy is also sad because she can't borrow any more plasters )': Don't worry, there's always *cough*, to whom you already owe 3 plasters.
But I got CHARLIE BROWN plasters! They're only washproof and cost half as much for double the quantity (NOTA BENE: EXAGGERATING a little), but they have colourful comic strips all over them! How kickass is that! What a great way to protest against expensive transparent/not-really-flesh-tone plasters.
I should sleep, though I should be working. Let me waste another hour pondering which I should do, then come to the eventual conclusion that I should sleep.
I'll reply tags in my next post!

SUM MRE DUDLZ
Let's mourn for the end of the holidays before it actually does. It's always good to do things early, no?
All rights reserved. Click to enlarge!
The nerdy guy's inspired by the principal from 《这一班日记》! (Yes the one you see in 大拇指.) Favourite comic of my primary school life. The comic artist teaches Chinese at my primary school, and he draws cool stuff (:
Oh a short update on OBS. Nila Utama is a GREAT watch to have. Claire, Steph, Joline, Hui Cong, Zi Ai, Stella, Amy, Yi Ping, Chin Wen, Shuting, Elizabeth, Ling Han and Tong Meng are fun people! (:
But I didn't mention that I got sent home early, did I? My cruel back decided that I shouldn't fulfil my NYAA requirements and I'll have to go for another camp. In other words I just wasted 2 days of my life away. ._.
Life is totally awesome, pwnful stuff.

shoe rack labels!
Behold my obnoxiously poor colour sense!
Awesome, no?
Okay it may not seem like a whole lot of work, but this included:
1) finding and downloading a good font,
2) typing and editing on Photoshop, experimenting with the font sizes (I wasted a lot of paper reprinting some because they turned out too big),
3) buying paper, choosing colours (I think Pipa will kill me for giving them pink x: heh but the other colours looked even worse),
4) cutting out the words (this is the most troublesome part, the little spaces in the middle of the letters are excruciatingly difficult to cut out), pasting the words on, and
5) LAMINATING the labels. :D (The picture's taken before they were laminated.)
14 simple labels took me more than 6 hours. I am a slow worker, and what a painful, painful task it was.
I like the Cellobass one for some reason /: Colours are not true to this picture.
Here ends another meaningless post. I'm here to admire my revoltingly gorgeous work. Whoo.
